We, the undersigned, protest the curfew instituted by the Head Council of Elysium, and request its immediate termination on the grounds of the following grievances:
The residents of Elysium, hereafter known as the People, did not give their consent for this curfew as they were neither consulted on the issue of the curfew, nor allowed to vote for the ruling body that instituted the curfew;
The curfew is a violation of the People's right to determine and institute the necessary precautions for their own safety without the loss of their liberty or freedom of choice.
We assent that the Head Council is the rightful ruling body of Elysium, and understand its desire to protect the People. We ask, however, that the Head Council pursue this end without restrictions that inhibit the People's rights to independence.
