Who: Zane and Susie When: Afternoon Where: Susie's cottage What: Zane stops by to remind Susie of her schedule Zane never imagined that the weather in the Mediterranean could get bad, but whatever storm Elysium had been hit with lately was insane. It wasn't just the snow, or the cold temperatures, but the wind that made it far worse than anything he had been in bad home. The wind chill made it near impossible to leave his house without a chance of blowing over, or freezing to death. As far as he was concerned this place deserved the nickname "The Windy City" more than Chicago did. The doctor left his house bundled up tight, and made his way to Susie's bungalow. Zane was thankful that it wasn't in an entirely different part of Elysium to begin with. He knew people who lived all the way in the city, and some that lived in the forest cottages. He certainly wouldn't have been walking to those houses anytime soon; thankfully, though, Elysium had a large number of horses and carriages for the specific purpose of traveling from one place to another. It took about five minutes to get to Susie's bungalow, and Zane hurried to the porch to provide himself some shelter from the furious wind. He stood there for a moment or two to gather himself. The biting cold of the wind made it hard to focus on anything else, but he had a very specific reason for wanting to visit the mermaid on this day. It was over the course of Susie's appointments that Zane and she had grown close. She proved to be a very intelligent young woman, and she was very interested in healing, magical and non-magical alike. He was willing to teach her all he knew, and he found her enthusiasm endearing. Now, with all of her radiation treatments done the girl was physically well enough to venture out on her own, and to work with Zane at the pavilion. The next day was to be her very first, and Zane wanted to stop by to remind her of her schedule. Considering her interest he probably didn't need to remind her at all, but Zane erred on the side of caution. Beside he missed seeing Susie, and he wanted to check up on her regardless. She was one of his favorite people, after all.

Who: Rosalinda and OPEN When: Nighttime Where: The Arts & Trade Enclave, at the top of the Astronomy Tower. What: Spending the night away from home with a little star-gazing. Rosalinda adjusted her coat around herself as a particularly cold gust of wind passed her by. With a blanket over her lap, she sat atop the astronomy tower as she used one of the many telescopes to spy what stars and celestial bodies she could see in the sky. Though there had been some clouds during the day, the strong winds took many of them away by nightfall. Not everything was visible in the sky, but she could spot some of them easily, and she adjusted the lens of the telescope to view them each with more clarity. Since enclave rested on the shelf of the mountains, the blanket in her lap was extra protection against the cold and bitter wind of the mountains. It was worse in the winter than during any other time, and she knew coming up here during the night would have been foolish without proper apparel and coverage. It was far colder up here than it was down by the cottages. She wasn’t sure what possessed her tonight to go star-gazing, but it wasn’t something she had done in a long time. She felt like she spent day in and day out around outrageous things she could barely make sense out of, and tonight, Rosalinda just wanted to do something simple away from people—by herself. It wasn’t to say the company of one would be a punishment. Rosalinda was beginning to feel a little alone out there by herself, staring at the stars so far away in the sky.

Who: Amy and OPEN When: Early Afternoon Where: The Medical Pavilion What: Running into someone after getting blood Yeah, yeah. Amy knew vampires weren't exactly freaks in the haven. If they were, she doubted they'd get blood supplied at the Medical Pavilion. Though she should feel comfortable getting bags of blood, she always brought a nice looking handbag to put the blood in. She didn't just place the blood inside the designer bag. She wrapped the blood bags up in a plastic bag-make it plastic bags, then stuffed her stash in the handbag. So what? She wasn't ready to shout out "vampire" from the rooftops. Though she was pretty sure the teeth and the direction of where she was going in the Pavilion gave it away. After she did her pretty long routine, she made ways out of the Pavilion. The smell of the blood was driving her crazy. Really, when she had the guts to, she'd just sit in front of the facility with a straw in one of the blood bags and pig out. But for now, she was going to hold in the cravings to devour up some blood until she got home. Which felt like it was going to be forever. Since in yum yum blood daydream land, Amy wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. This caused her to run into someone. Her bag fell to the floor with a loud thump. With a horrified glance she watched as a giant pool of vibrant red began to form around it. "Uhm.." Was really all there was to say when a bunch of blood was coming out of a handbag.

Who: Lenore and OPEN When: Late Afternoon Where: The Art Supply Shop What: Hopefully meeting someone new! Lenore grew restless when the shop got quiet. She often found herself peeking her head out of the door to listen in on conversations, or to see if she could persuade anyone to come inside. If there weren't any interesting conversations anymore, or no one seemed interested in coming inside, Lenore would just pace around the shop. Surely, someone needed something art related. Growing bored, Lenore began to organize the different paints by color. It drove her nuts to see a vibrant color of gold next to a very subtle color of blue. Were some employees getting lazy? Why she thought so! When she saw a maroon colored paint just beyond her reach, she frowned. It was snuggled in between very depressing paints of black and grey. Though a small stepping stool was only a few giant steps away, Lenore told herself she could handle this. Getting on her tippy toes, she reached for the paint. The very tips of her fingers wrapped around the can and then CRASH. The paint didn't splatter on her luckily. It fell behind her and rolled towards the door. Biting her lip, Lenore just looked around with an " it wasn't me" expression and went to the back to get a mop. She'd get the can that rolled outside once the blush dulled on her face.

Who: Kelchek and Xanthus- possibly open as it progresses When: Mid Morning Where: On the edge of the forest/In the forest. What: An awkward meeting. Kelchek had been wandering aimlessly for a little under two hours trying to break in his new boots. They weren't the best looking, but they did a great job at shielding his feet from the snow that had fallen the night before, and the night before that. He had no destination picked out, nor did he care where he ended up. Only a few more miles and they should be as comply as a cloud. Mental sarcasm was so wonderful. He knew it would take a lot longer to get any new pair of shoes to fit right, but he didn't care. The cold air lightly nipped at his skin though his sweater but it didn't bother him. To him it was just starting to get chilly. He took this time to ponder on the events of the last few days that he had been awake. So much has happened. He continued to walk letting the fresh air renew his body, mind, and soul. Ahead of him lay the edge of the woods. Ah, trees, lots of trees, just what I've been needing to find. He was still too unfamiliar with the haven to have picked out his secret place, the place where he could call his own. He needed to find that certain place where, when the cold let up, he could make grow. Kelchek looked down at the snow. "If this stuff ever lets up!" He scoffed out loud. And then he saw the most beautiful thing he could have imagined, horse tracts in the snow. He was filled with an instant excitement at the thought of finding a horse, maybe even one he could call his own. He followed the tracks like a child would follow a trail of candy, half galloping toward the trees. His spirit was renewed with the possibility to converse with a horse, and make a new friend. He slowed his speed when he saw the swish of a tail disappearing among the trees. ( Better not start by scaring it )

Who: William and Adela When: Afternoon Where: Near the Fix It Shop What: Lesson of the day: Always watch where you're going. Everyone has things that irk them. For William, it was when people asked him to fix broken valuables but after he was done, the repaired item was never picked up. Eventually, the place grew cluttered and for some reason it drove him nuts. He had no idea why, it just did. So what was he doing about it? He was leaving their crap outside. If it got stolen, not his fault. Some of the items had been sitting around for several weeks. He collected the items into a big box and made his way outside. The box was taller over wider so his vision was a little bit on the not so stable side. But he could do it. It was only a few steps to the right, so it wasn't like anything bad could happen right? Wrong. Suddenly, he crashed into someone. More like, the box did over anything else. He didn't really have a firm grip on the box, so it crashed to the floor along with the items inside. He kind of winced when he heard a few of the items break into small pieces. Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. However, though worried about the items, he was more worried about the poor person he ran into. "Shit! I'm so sorry. Are you okay? " He asked blindly, looking at the items on the ground. I didn't see you." William then quickly went towards the ground to start picking up the mess he made.

Who: Cree Eichmann and Chloe Lévesque When: Around 1:00pm. Where: Around the Forest Cottages. What: Cree tries to contact her parents yet again before coming to two possible conclusions. The day was cold, and Cree could hear the howling of the wind outside. It had not been that windy earlier, but around noon the wind had picked up speed. She missed Knoxville on days like these. It rarely snowed there, and they hardly ever got high winds, though when they did it was damaging. Barely any winter there, with long spring and fall seasons. She absently wondered if Knoxville was still there. Other than the howling wind, the only other noise in her home was the crackling flames in her fire place and the soft rustle caused by her own movements. The couch and small table and its lone chair, which normally occupied the floor space in her sitting room, were pushed back and out of the way. Now, in the center of the room, stood a waist high, square, table made of wood. This was her altar, which was draped in a simple white cloth with light blue trim. ( From a mason jar... )

Who: Sascha and Irei (and others? TBD) When: midday Where: Outside of Elysium What: Tragedy is afoot (or a hand!) Irei couldn't help but grimace about the current situation he found himself in. The world seemed to be intolerably flat, devoid of life, and it seemed to stretch out into eternity. What made it worse was the cold. It had snowed again, and Irei's coat didn't seem like enough to keep his body temperature from dropping dramatically. For a man who had basically lived primarily on a tropical island most of his life, this was becoming entirely too much to handle. He had joined the search party with Sascha with the intent of finding the poor delusional blind girl who he called his piano teacher. He had found he was unable to call upon Dexter's spirit once they were outside the barrier. Could it have been the barrier itself messing with his powers? Or perhaps the spirit was so lost within his and his sister's troubles that he no longer heeded the necromancer's call? Either way, there wasn't much that Irei could do about it. Still it bothered him, made him believe that they wouldn't be finding either of the women Dante kidnapped, let alone Dante himself, but he didn't speak his doubts out loud purely out of habit. People rarely listened to him anyways. He looked at his friend, and knew that Sascha was worried about the young woman who had become friends with them. He smiled that fake little smile of his in an attempt to be reassuring. "Do not worry. I am sure we will find her soon." He patted Sascha's back and was thankful for his leather gloves even though his hands still felt numb. The party had moved toward an area that made a more likely hiding place for three people, despite if two were unwilling or not. he was unsure of the exact reasons for Dante kidnapping both women, and just assumed they would both be unwilling seeing as it was called a double kidnapping. He halfway wondered if Dione really cared about her situation. She seemed to lack the motivation to do much aside from breathe, but sometimes his opinions of people were overly harsh.

Who: Loki [Narrative] When: Evening Where: The haven in the Bahamas. What: Loki discovers a clue to the destruction of the haven. “Captain!” shouted one of the men. “I think I found something!” Loki whirled his head in the direction of the voice, his eyes lighting up at the news. He rushed across the muddy tracks made by the other crewmen on the road towards the remains of a house once in the village. They had spent the last three days sifting through wreckage to look for clues about why the haven was nothing more than ash and dust, but not a single clue had surfaced to answer the mystery. Loki slowed his steps as he neared, immediately spotting the safe the crewmen had dug out of the former floorboards of the house. They hadn’t gotten it open yet, so Loki kneeled down and aiding in prying it open. It took a long time of working on it before they managed to crack it open, and Loki flung open the door in hopes that this was a safe for more than just money. There wasn’t any money in the safe, just a journal and some random papers strewn about. All of it was untouched by the fire. Loki grabbed for the journal and flipped it open, skimming the pages for information. He read bits and pieces, trying to make sense of it, but it was strange. It talked of prisoners and madmen, people taken hostage, and mass murders being committed by a group of attackers. Loki read further, his face paling as he did so. Finally, he closed the journal and rose to his feet. “I’ll be takin’ this to my quarters to read it,” he said, lifting the book. “By morning, we may ‘ave news of what happened here.” With that, he left the men and trekked to the camp set up on the outskirts of town. He had a lot of reading to do before the night was through.

Who: Zach and Adrienne When: Night, shortly after 8:30 pm and during the snowfall. Where: Adrienne's cottage, her bedroom. What: Dealing with the aftermath of hell. A low whistling noise filled the room as the wind howled outside of the window, and Zach’s eyes stared over Adrienne’s hair at the glass panes. He watched the swirls of white flakes and puffs float and twirl through the air together in an intricate dance before eventually landing on something below. Some flakes gathered on the ledge of the window, pilling up a white trail of fluff that looked a lot like cotton. There were no other noises inside of the room aside from the steady sound of their breathing. His arm laid around Adrienne’s waist, careful not to touch her middle where Dante’s stab had pierced her flesh. Zach was still not sure if Adrienne was alive or not, even though they were lying here together. He hadn’t expected her to survive two deep stab wounds like those, but they said the shifting had saved her; it sped up the healing process, made the wounds smaller than what they originally started out as. A part of him still feared she would slip away in the middle of the night, and so he clung to her for as long as he could without letting go. Maybe this would be the last time he could hold her like this before she disappeared from his life forever. Zach closed his eyes and buried his face into Adrienne’s hair, squeezing them shut as a few tears slid out. They would have soaked into the pillow if not for her hair, which took them in instead. Though he wasn’t pressed against her wounded back, he was very close to her, not even an inch away, and one of his legs was pressed to hers as the other had curled over hers long ago. The blankets were cozy above them, but the heat from the combined bodies was the only thing that really kept him warm.

Who: William and Hayate When: Late Night Where: The Wine Bar What: While William is getting his drunk on, he meets someone...interesting. (I'm just starting from square one, hope that's okay!) "No, wait. Seriously! I was only serious about wondering about the pointy ears, not the threesome." Welp, there went two hot chicks. Turned out, weird looking, yet hot females had feelings too. William just wasn't getting it here. He felt like the lesser species and it kind of sucked being normal. Not only was he bad at understanding what sensitivity was, but he wasn't too careful with the questions he asked. Often times, within minutes he was already on to "So what are you?" Not the best way to make friends. No matter how many times William went to the Wine Bar, he always forgot that they had goodies like Jack Daniels in which he ordered and asked for the bottle to be left with a shot glass. Of course, his excuse for drinking today? The loss of talking to two hot, slightly freaky females. William wasn't within the "always drunk" category, but when he did get drunk, he got drunkTime passed and various conversations with people took place, one more drunk than the other. Some spoke of a killer on the loose, some asked about the search parties, others just ranted about their personal issues. William was like a shrink to some of these crazies. The human reached a point where he was so drunk, he needed what he called a "breather" which was just resting his head on the table and hoping everything would stop blurring together. He couldn't help but laugh a little. Shit. He remembered when some Lycanthrope played beer pong with him until he was puking. Asshole didn't say he was a hairy bastard until he was near puking his guts out. William didn't even realize a new face was approaching. He was too busy trying to see how he could muster up the strength to leave. He was a big boy, he could walk it off.

Who: Kelchek and Adela When: Afternoon Where: A store in town. What: A little shopping, and an Apology. Kelchek had made it into town with little trouble, Susie had given pretty good directions, and it was a pretty easy path to follow. He wore the leather jacket that he had found his first day awake, but try as he might he couldn’t remember how it got back in his house. As far as he remembered it was still on the beach. Oh well. It didn’t concern him, he was getting use to things just happening. He had a smile on his face from the amazing time he had had with Susie earlier that morning, and was kind of hoping to run into her. She had said she would be into town right? “Where to first?” He looked around at the various stores with his list held tightly in his hand. Things were so much more exciting in New York with flashy lights and huge sale signs. This would have to do. I’m probably out of luck to find a decent pair of non-overly-feminine Gucci. He laughed as he walked into the closest store. Wrong choice. Meat, everywhere meat! Having spent the last few years as a semi-vegetarian, all of it took him by surprise. He quickly backed out of the meat shop and laughed at himself when he noticed all of the meat hanging in the large clear window at the front of the building. He looked around at the other buildings, and more closely at what was displayed in each window. He walked around the center and located what he was looking for. The small sign on the door said it all, herbalist. He walked in and breathed in the sweet scents, his mind instantly indentifying them all. He walked over to the counter and handed the list to the clerk. “I need what ever you can spare from this list, if you don’t mind.” He added out of courtesy before walking further into the store to examine their stock. He made it to the end of one shelf unit and rounded the corner. Adela He was more than happy to see the wood nymph. He rushed over and hugged her from behind not even considering that she might like to know who was gripping her around the waist.

Who: Theora and Elliot When: Afternoon Where: Elliot's forest cottage What: Thanking Elliot in person for the flowers The walk to the forest cottages was relaxing despite the chill in the air. Today was a good day for the priestess, and for Elysium in general with the return of the kidnapped girls. They wouldn't have to worry about Dante's madness any further, and things could go on as they had before the entire situation. The priestess looked around at the blanket of white that covered the land, and it felt as if the snow was meant to cleanse the haven of the recent negativity. Everything was fresh, and clean, and Theora took a deep breath into her lungs. The morning had been busy for the priestess, and with her afternoon free she made her way toward the forest cottages to visit a one Elliot Brenton. She remembered meeting the young man at the café on Wednesday, and he was kind enough to send her flowers on Friday. The least Theora could do was thank him for the lovely gift in person. After all, it was not every day that Theora was given flowers. Her steps left footprints in the snow, and there were marks left from the hem of her robes dragging behind her. She had looked up the young man's address through the records at Town Hall, and she made her way to his cottage easily. She paused on the doorstep, and brushed the snow from her robes. Theora knocked on the door twice, and waited patiently for Elliot to answer. When he did she smiled brightly. "Good afternoon, Elliot," she said. "Would you mind if I entered your home?"

Who: Marley and Elijah When: Early Afternoon Where: Elijah's Bungalow What: Marley forces Elijah to deal with her as a house guest "You should probably stay here!" Someone yelled after Marley when she fled from the Market. That was sometime before noon she would guess before the winds were as fierce as they were now. As she progressed towards her house, the winds grew more intense and the empath felt like she was pushing against an invisible wall. To make things worse, she wasn't properly dressed. With only a sweater on and jeans with tears in them, Marley felt like she was freezing to death. Her hands were unprotected by gloves and her lips felt pained every time she licked them. Her nose was burning and her sight was clouded by her hair flapping in the wind. "Great..fucking great." She stated through shivered breaths. "I'm going to freeze to death and turn into a snow woman." There wasn't much snow, the only snow that was whirling around was the snow that had fallen early in the morning, even perhaps at night. Marley lost where she was going. She was too busy trying not to fall on her ass. She was a very thin girl and she stumbled a few times. Since she was pissed and frustrated and just about everything and anything but calm, it ruined a good sense of direction for her. "You know, fuck this." Desperate times called for desperate measures. Marley knew she was far from home when the houses she was walking towards looked nothing like the residential area she was used to. Her easy guess was the lovely Bungalows. One of these Bungalow owners was going to be nice enough to let her in to relax. If not, she was going to A-break in or B-well who would say no to someone freezing half to death? She made it to a random Bungalow and knocked. Not once, not twice, but three times. Marley was loud about it too. No answer. Oh, it figured. The empath would have considered the reasonable option of trying another home, but when another rush of wind came in she thought hell no and was pleasantly surprised to find the door open. The empath snuck in side and hissed when she felt the difference in temperature. The first thing that burnt were her hands and she shook them as if it would remedy the irritation before blowing on them and pressing them together. "Not a bad place I guess." She whispered. When she heard footsteps, she panicked. There was no way in hell she was going back out in the doom storm so she just tip toed behind a wall and tried to figure out what to do next. It wasn't like she could attack the person. It was their home. Plus, she had already tried to beat up someone and failed miserably.
